Meet the Blair Chiropractic & Massage Therapy & Yoga Team

Dr Mark Blair B.A., D.C.

Dr Mark Blair has called Barrie home for the last 43 years. After attending Innisdale Secondary School he graduated from The University of Western Ontario with his degree. He continued his education in Toronto for a further four years, graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 1994. His fondness for the area brought Dr. Mark back to Barrie where he opened his practice in the Atrium Medical Centre. After 10 years of successful practice, he expanded his practice to its current location at St. Vincent and Grove St in Barrie.

As a teen, Dr Mark experienced the need for a chiropractor first hand after sustaining a whiplash injury while barefoot waterskiing. It was after treatments from an experienced chiropractor that he developed a keen interest in the care of helping people through chiropractic adjustments and care. Dr Mark takes great pride in his profession and his ability to help patients heal and maintain a healthy pain-free lifestyle. His mission is to help everyone achieve optimal health through chiropractic care.

Chelsea Rankine, RMT

Chelsea completed her Massage Therapy training at Georgian College and graduated in December 2014. She has been registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since October 2015. Everyone can benefit from massage, at any time in their life. Massage has many positive effects on the body and overall wellness. Whether you are looking to decrease muscle tension, rehabilitate an injury, get rid of a headache, a good deep tissue massage or de-stress and relax, Chelsea loves to see clients leave happy and feeling better than they did when they walked in. She has been playing hockey since she was 10 and played numerous other sports growing up, including soccer, rugby, and football throughout high school. Although Chelsea gladly treats a variety of clients, her involvement in sports has led her to become interested in focusing on deep tissue and sports-related injuries and rehabilitation. Chelsea enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing hockey, going to the gym, camping and spending as much time as possible outdoors. During her career, she has expanded her knowledge and become more diverse by continuing her education in hot stone massage, joint mobilization, and cupping techniques. She is interested in taking courses and learning new modalities including acupuncture, taping for injuries, remedial exercise, and personal training.

Louise Bate, Certified Yoga Instructor

After studying and practicing yoga for a number of years while experiencing its myriad of benefits firsthand, Louise became inspired to assist others on this journey of living well. Through a combination of college courses and teacher training programs, Louise became formally certified in 2002 and hasn’t looked back since!

Louise has been privileged to teach children, senior and peers while designing and leading workshops, volunteering at the YMCA and continuing her education through research, various retreats and specialized courses. Her most profound learning, however, has been attained through the trials, twists and turns that happen along the way in life.

“We are all students of life, and the teacher lies within.”

Veronica Johnson, Certified Yoga Instructor

Veronica lives both her personal and professional lives practicing, and teaching her life passions: yoga and art.

Her journey of practicing yoga began over 37 years ago when she became inspired by her Yogi sister/yoga teacher. Veronica has now been teaching and co-running a successful yoga business for more than 12 transformative years.

With more than 20 years of experience in graphic design, Veronica combined her 2 passions to create “yoga art”, some of which can be seen on the studio walls.

Certified as a yoga teacher through the YMCA, Veronica has continued her yoga education through numerous courses, workshops, and retreats. Veronica has been involved with and taught classes for the Gilda Club and ALS, the Cancer Society, the SPCA and the YMCA.

Her intention as a yoga teacher is to always live and teach from her heart, inspiring and guiding students to discover their true authentic Self and to provide the information and tools that will spark a journey into self-discovery.
